A Time to Sow and a Time to Reap
Ever had a season where you are knee-deep in work, work that you love and that you know will eventually bear fruit? Well, that’s where I am right now. I have just finished the writing portion of my first audio program, which I am very excited about releasing. I now need to figure out how to use the equipment pictured at left, and the free audio recording software I found, in order to record the program. I need to determine whether I’ll offer the program only online or find a fulfillment center to create the CD set. And many, many other small details as well.
All of this needs to happen by early January, as I will be recording an appearance on a Christian TV show (I’ll share those details later). I want to have all the Web infrastructure in place so that I can offer the audio program to viewers, as well as to the attendees at the speaking engagement I’ll be doing the next day. Whew – are you exhausted yet? Double that feeling, add a full-time job, and that’s me.
All of this is happening at the busiest season of the year: the holidays! So, as I sat down to write the blog post for this week, I realized that what I really need to do right now is focus on all of the above activities. That’s not an easy decision for me, but it’s the best one. I only anticipate a hiatus of one to three weeks – we’ll see how much I can get done, and how fast. For those of you who pray, please pray for wisdom and focus and the technological savvy that has largely eluded me most of my life! I want to make this program the best that I possibly can at this point in time, because I want nothing less than to help as many people as possible, to guide them toward a path that leads them to their authentic selves so that they can live out their destinies and change the world.
While I’m away, I hope that you will continue to (or start) listening for those Superego messages that ravage your life, that you will practice becoming more present, that you will dive deeper into the Enneagram. Again, I recommend “The Wisdom of the Enneagram” as the best book to start with, or the website http://www.enneagraminstitute.com/.
